Long before Riha Calligraphy Co. became my career, calligraphy was simply a creative escape.
At the time, I was working as a speech therapist, a career I loved because it centered around connection, communication, and helping people. During graduate school and those early years of working in healthcare, lettering became the one place where I could slow down, be intentional, and create something entirely with my hands.
That hobby soon led to custom wedding signage, then Etsy orders, then live events... and before I knew it, brands were inviting me to personalize products in front of hundreds of guests.
Today, that quiet creative outlet has grown into something more meaningful than I ever imagined. I feel incredibly grateful each time someone trusts me to create something thoughtful for their brand, event, or celebration.
My favorite part of live events is never just the finished piece.
It’s everything that happens while it’s being created. The curiosity, conversation, and connection that naturally unfold around the table.

In an increasingly digital world, I love creating experiences that feel tactile, intentional, and deeply human. That's what keeps me inspired.
When you invite me into your event, I know you're trusting me with more than personalization. You're trusting me with your guests' experience. From our very first conversation to the final custom piece, I strive to make the entire process feel thoughtful, organized, and effortless.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist (in the best way), so every detail matters—from testing materials beforehand to making sure every guest interaction feels warm and welcoming.
Whether your vision is straightforward or completely outside the box, I genuinely love figuring out how to make it happen. Some of my favorite projects started with someone saying, "This might be a crazy idea but..."
